Amina, when did you get started in the industry?

2018

Walk me through how or why you started in the industry?

I am originally from Uganda and started both as a way to bring people from developed nations to my home country and also empower local females with our philanthropic work.

What do you offer and/or what is your mission?

We offer photo tours that are sustainable, culturally immersive and show our travelers the benefit of supporting the local population. We also ensure our travelers improve their photography with hands-on instruction throughout our tour with frequent feedback so they can improve their photography while traveling and not after they get home.

We have two upcoming tours:

What is your favorite part about your job?

All the amazing people I get to meet from around the world, whether it be the travelers that come on our tours or the travel guides we work with.

What is your favorite or dream destination?

My dream destination - I have many but would really like to see all of Africa and would love to travel to Viet Nam and that part of Asia.

What is your favorite travel tip?

To be open - travel is supposed to heighten your awareness of others and how they live in that country you are visiting - don't be afraid to mingle with the locals and explore local life, as it will bring you so many beautiful memories all while supporting the local population. Stay local, eat local, etc!

What other suggestions do you have for travelers?

I offer photography tips on my blog - but one is to take a 360 of the place, person or thing you are photographing...different perspectives will give you something that nobody else has ever photographed and will teach you how to see your world differently.

How can someone reach out to you for your services?

Anything else you would like to share?

I started both companies to feed my passion for travel, photography and philanthropy. By giving back, whether it to be an NGO in the country you travel to or to a charity that is supporting the local population support that initiative. Not only will it enhance your travel experience but it will enhance the lives of the local people, which in many developing countries are dependent for survival.
