I’m from Vancouver, but I’m currently bouncing around North America!
When did you start your blog?
Walk me through how or why you started?
Was dissatisfied with the level of quality that most travel blogs and travel resources on the internet offered when it comes to useful information on traveling and travel planning so I decided to create my own!
Do you feature a specific type of travel or area?
I do have a section dedicated to budget traveling!
What is your favorite part about being a blogger?
When I’m able to teach someone a new way to save money while traveling!
What is your favorite or dream destination?
Europe. So many different cultures, languages, and cuisines in one small area. I just love how you can hop from country to country so easily!
What is your favorite travel tip?
Never exchange cash when you go to a different country! You’ll save a lot more money by taking out cash from an ATM instead (note: never let the ATM make the currency conversion for you because your bank will almost always have a better rate so always pick “use/debit local currency” when it asks you!). For additional savings, be sure to also get yourself a no-FX fee debit card to travel with so you don’t waste all that extra money on exchange fees either!
What other suggestions do you have for travelers?
Look into getting a phone that has eSIM capabilities as you can get easy and inexpensive access to the internet with it for almost every country in the world by buying a data plan as soon as you arrive in a new country! Way easier than trying to find a prepaid SIM card in the city after you arrive and way cheaper than roaming with your phone plan from home!
What has been the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome with your blog?
Dealing with wordpress security issues! I highly recommend finding a wordpress security expert on fiverr or upwork to look over your website and optimize it for security to make sure it doesn’t get compromised!
How can our readers follow your travels?
By following me on Instagram: @downwithsebster
