Adeline, how long have you been in the industry?
Since 2004
Walk me through how or why you got started?
I started in the industry in the hotel section (front office department and then to food & beverage department). From there I went on to managing condos/villas. I felt that there was a need for someone locally who knows the island and lives here that can better assist guests with all their information. I attained a client base that pushes me to move forward and by their word of mouth from their experience with my services that pushes my business.
What do you offer? Do you specialize in a specific type of travel or destination?
I plan vacations for big groups such as families, girls/boys trips, bachelor/rette trips. It's all based around finding the right accommodation, food and local experiences. My company mission is “Local knowledge, authentic experiences”
What is your favorite part about your job?
My favorite part of my job is meeting the exciting groups weekly who are just excited for me to plan their visit to the islands.
What is your favorite trip?
My favourite newlywed families trip, those groups are fun!
What is your favorite travel tip?
Book early for cheap flights - Once you have made up your mind about where you are traveling, it only makes sense to book your flights as soon as you can.
What other suggestions do you have for travelers?
Avoid expensive hotels and accommodations, spend your money on experiences not on Sleeping - Yes, traveling is expensive; but it doesn’t always have to be! There are countless ways you can save money during your travels such as choosing budget friendly villas and homes, if you can afford extra luxury then go for it!
